Because we just saw Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man on Earth, fans are now theorizing that the second reading belongs to another Peter Parker. The suspects currently include two of the past Spider-Man stars, Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield. As we saw in Spider-Man: No Way Home, they still exist in this universe as other variants.

This bigger theory connects the end credits tracker-app signal to Avengers: Doomsday and the multivese reality. In the Marvel Comics, Battleworld is a patchwork reality created when different worlds and timelines are brought together after a multiverse-shattering event. If the Battleworld comics storyline ends up being included in the film, it’s possible that a Spider-Man from another reality could wind up there.

Thus, fans believe this could be hinting at a Peter Parker who exists somewhere beyond the normal boundaries of the Earth reality.

What did Andrew Garfield say about this theory?

When asked by ScreenRant if he knows anything about this theory, Andrew indicated he was not in the know.

“I do not [know anything about that theory]. First I’ve heard of it. Not the werewolf, not me. I guess [it could be Tobey Maguire]. It could be. Who knows? Or maybe Miles Morales. I don’t know,” she shared.
