The 40-year-old Orange is the New Black star shared several messages about Hayden this week amid news of her death at age 36.

Ruby Rose shared on Threads, “Our group of friends consists of 14 women. And I haven’t even met her other wonderful friend groups. Hayden was so VERY VERY LOVED. And was an INCREDIBLE FRIEND, to all of us. We were so lucky to watch her grow.”
She also shared a text message screen grab
Ruby shared a text that she says was from Hayden Panettiere. It seemingly refers to her mom Lesley Vogel.
Vogel faced backlash for her statement on Hayden‘s shocking passing. She was even called out by a well-regarded news anchor for her choice of words.
In the text screen grab, the messenger, seemingly Ruby Rose, wrote, “They did not act or behave like mothers, so we are wounded from them, but the idea of a mother is still so powerful to us.”
Hayden allegedly responded, “All of that lands….I was sobbing over her cruelty yesterday thinking, ‘My god, I’m 36 and she can still cause this kind of pain,’” the text read. “I’m her only child left and this is how she wants to handle the situation?!”
