Myles Bullock Be to Play Dr. Dre in Snoop Dogg's Biopic | Just Jared - Celebrity News and Gossip

The upcoming Snoop Dogg biopic has found its Dr. Dre!
On Thursday (August 20), The Hollywood Reporter announced that Myles Bullock Be will be playing the legendary rapper and music producer in Snoop, Universal Pictures’ upcoming biopic about the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper.
It was announced last summer that Outer Banks actor Jonathan Daviss will be portraying Snoop in the movie.

Snoop‘s relationship with Dre was instrumental to his success in the music industry. When Dre was working on his debut solo album The Chronic in the early ’90s, he was given a cassette tape of demo tracks featuring a young Snoop. He was so impressed by the young artist that he put Snoop on numerous tracks, including the mega-hit single “Nuthin’ But a ‘G’ Thang.”
Dre became Snoop‘s mentor and produced his debut album Doggystyle, which was released in 1993.

What is Snoop about?
Snoop is “a look at how Calvin Broadus Jr. entered into the West Coast hip hop fray. Taking the moniker Snoop Doggy Dogg (he’d later drop the middle name), Snoop brought his laid back drawling delivery and sharp lyrics to Death Row Records, where he worked with Dr Dre on his smash debut album Doggystyle. He broadened into other platforms to the point he might well be seen rubbing elbows with Martha Stewart or getting in the pool with Michael Phelps during the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he became one of the high points of that Olympiad on NBC and Peacock,” according to Deadline.
Craig Brewer is directing the movie with Snoop producing alongside Brian Grazer and Death Row Pictures president Sara Ramaker.
Myles, 35, is best known for his roles in TV shows Runaways and Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist along with the 2023 movie White Men Can’t Jump.
Snoop is currently scheduled to hit theaters on August 6, 2027.
