Maria Bartiromo's Lawyer Disputes Reports She Was Fired by Fox News | Just Jared

Maria Bartiromo is speaking out through her lawyer following reports of her exit from Fox News.
If you didn’t see, the network announced on Thursday, September 3, that they were cutting ties with the 58-year-old news anchor after she spent 12 years with them.
“We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter,” Fox News said in a statement (via THR). No reason for the exit was given at this time, and it’s unclear if she was fired or left on her own.
Maria‘s Fox Business Network show, Mornings with Maria, aired its final episode on Thursday and the series has now been rebranded to Mornings with Fox Business. Her other show, Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street, is now being rebranded FBN’s Wall Street and will be hosted this week by Cheryl Casone. After that, it will feature rotating anchors.

On Friday (September 4), Maria‘s attorney, Bryan Freedman, issued a statement on her behalf, disputing reports that she had been fired.
“For many years, Maria Bartiromo hosted three number-one-rated television shows on Fox channels,” Freedman shared in his statement with JustJared.com. “She has been, without question, one of the hardest-working journalists throughout her award-winning career.”
“The irresponsible reports that have been published stating that Maria Bartiromo was fired or is no longer an employee of Fox are absolutely and unequivocally false,” Freedman continued. “Make no mistake, we have the receipts and witnesses and they will come out whether through the courthouse or otherwise. Those reporting her firing or the incredulous facts supporting that fiction have exhibited a complete and utter reckless disregard for the truth.”
If you didn’t see, President Donald Trump just reacted to the reports that Maria Bartiromo has exited Fox News.
