Maggie Rogers Calls Out NYT Reporter for Dating Her While Having a Secret Girlfriend - Just Jared - Celebrity News and Gossip

Maggie Rogers is calling out a man for dating her while he had a secret girlfriend.

The 32-year-old “Alaska” singer was a special guest at Rosalia‘s Madison Square Garden concert this week and made the revelation while participating in the confessional skit.

Maggie says that the man is a journalist for The New York Times.

“A little while ago, I was single and a friend of mine said, ‘I’ve got someone for you to go on a date with.’ I said, ‘Great! They’re single, they’re handsome, and they work for the New York Times,’” Maggie began.

“So he calls me. And he says, ‘I’ve got a vintage car. Can I come pick you up?’ So I said OK,” Maggie continued. “So we’re driving around Manhattan and we’re talking and I’m kind of falling in love a little bit. And suddenly he says, ‘Oh my god, we’re actually really close to the office, can I take you to The New York Times?'”

Maggie and the man visited the empty office at 1am.

She continued, “We go in and he gives me a full empty tour of the building. We make out in the conference room. It’s like a really good time. He drives me home, we make out in the car. And he wants to come in, but not yet! And so the next morning, I called two of my friends and say, ‘I found someone!’ They say, ‘What’s his name?’ And I tell them. My friend goes, ‘Oh my god. That’s my friend’s boyfriend.’ So obviously I call him and I say, ‘Who’s this girl?’ And he says, ‘Can I come see you? I’d really love to talk to you about it.’ And I say, ‘No, you can’t!’ So that’s my story. That’s my confession. What a loser.”

“You just can’t trust a journalist,” Maggie concluded.

Rosalia stepped out in New York City with her girlfriend this week.
