Kristi Noem Files for Divorce From Husband Bryon Noem After 34 Years of Marriage

Kristi Noem has officially filed for divorce from her husband Bryon Noem.

The 54-year-old former Secretary of Homeland Security filed the paperwork on Monday (September 28) in Hamlin County, South Dakota, according to TMZ and People.

She cited irreconcilable differences.

The filing comes several months after reports first surfaced that the longtime couple was headed for divorce.

Kristi‘s mother Corinne Arnold said in July that the split was coming, telling the Daily Mail that her daughter had confirmed she and Bryon planned to divorce.

According to the new filing, Kristi also left open the possibility of seeking spousal support.

Kristi and Bryon married in 1992 and share three adult children together: Kassidy, Kennedy and Booker. They also have four grandchildren.

The divorce filing comes after months of public attention surrounding their marriage.

Earlier this year, the Daily Mail reported that Bryon had participated in online fetish communities and shared photos of himself cross-dressing. Kristi‘s representative said at the time that she was “devastated” and that the family had been “blindsided.”
