Brooklyn Beckham is still close with his godfather, Elton John.

Despite a public feud with his parents David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, who are close family friends with the 79-year-old “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” music icon, the 27-year-old son of the retired soccer star and Spice Girls member just spent time with Elton on a vacation last week in the South of France.

Brooklyn could be seen alongside his wife Nicola Peltz joining Elton and husband David Furnish on a yacht near Nice, Italy on July 29 in photos obtained by People.

At the same time as the sighting of the two couples, David and Victoria were seen on a yacht while on vacation with kids Romeo (with girlfriend Kim Turnbull), Cruz and Harper in Formentera, Spain.

Back in January, Brooklyn released a lengthy statement about his family issues and explained why he doesn’t want to repair his broken relationship with his parents and siblings. He seemingly took a jab at them in a World Cup ad more recently.

Both parents included photos of Brooklyn in their Father’s Day tribute posts on Instagram in June amid the public feud.
