Dr. Wendy Osefo‘s trial is still pending, but that didn’t stop the The Real Housewives of Potomac star from treating herself to a brand-new six-figure Mercedes-Benz. In a sneak peek at Season 11, Wendy debuts her pricey G-Wagon to castmate Stacey Rusch and gives the SUV a name that also nods to the legal battle hanging over her.

“New car, who dis?” Stacey asks as the clip begins.
“That’s Psalm. Psalm 91, to be exact,” Wendy replies.
Stacey responds, “Well, that’s a nice way to brighten your spirit.”
Wendy explains that the name is “an homage to one of the Psalms that has led me through this time,” quoting a line from the scripture: “He will call upon me, and I will answer. I will be with him in trouble. Honor him and deliver. I love that.”
The splurge comes amid Wendy and husband Eddie Osefo‘s ongoing insurance fraud case, which erupted in late 2025 after the couple was accused of staging a robbery at their Maryland home in spring 2024. Wendy had previously spoken out about the alleged robbery, claiming Birkins and jewelry were stolen while she was on vacation, but prosecutors later accused the Osefos of fabricating the incident. Adding to the drama, prosecutors reportedly claimed in December that the couple has “very little money,” alleging they found dozens of debit and credit cards stuffed inside multiple luxury wallets.
Wendy Osefo’s Trial Brings In New Opinions And Comparisons
Though Wendy Osefo’s trial is still hanging over her head, Stacey seemed unbothered by the timing of her co-star’s new ride. In a confessional, she said,

“I think that if Wendy wants a new ride to brighten her spirits, do you. I think she deserves it. Treat yourself.” Wendy, for her part, admitted the legal drama has taken a toll on her. I’m still trying to process everything that has happened,” she said in her own confessional.
“There has been so many things written about me, written about Eddie, written about our marriage, written about this case. People are taking it as if it’s Bible without ever being convicted of anything.”
That last point seems to be Wendy’s central defense as she awaits her day in court: she hasn’t been convicted of any crime, and she feels the public and her castmates treat the allegations as settled fact. Clips of the moment have also circulated on social media, which helped fuel reactions across platforms like Threads.
According to Reality Blurb, many of those reactions weren’t kind. Fans quickly drew comparisons between Wendy and fellow “RHOP” star Karen Huger, who faced her own public reckoning after a DUI arrest and crash in March 2024 and was accused of denial and a lack of accountability in its aftermath.
“Her and Karen are truly something else,” one Threads user wrote. Another replied, “Pieces of actual work.” A third pointed out a parallel from Karen’s own history, asking, “Her and Karen are more alike than they think. Didn’t Karen do the same when [her husband] had his tax issues?” referencing the $1.5 million tax debt Karen’s husband, Ray Huger, faced back in 2018.
Not everyone was critical.
“This is what housewives are made of,” one person joked, while another added,
“This makes me realize I need to live my life with more audacity,” after others noted Wendy’s purchase seemed to fly in the face of “just lay low” advice typically given to someone facing active legal trouble.
Whether or not the new G-Wagon ages well as a storyline depends largely on how Wendy Osefo’s trial plays out. For now, fans will get to watch the fallout unfold in real time when Season 11 of The Real Housewives of Potomac premieres Sunday, October 11, at 8/7c on Bravo.
