Dolly Weaver Was Killed in a Car Accident

Dolly Weaver, played by Ellyn Jameson in five episodes of the hit CBS television show, is killed.

After traveling to Wyoming to help Kayce locate his kidnapped son, Dolly unfortunately becomes involved in an ambush orchestrated by her own family. The character meets her abrupt end when her father’s desperate attempt to flee a standoff results in a fatal, high-speed vehicle rollover.

In her final moments, Tom attempts to outrun the U.S. Marshals and crashes the vehicle, which goes plunging down a steep hillside. Though Tom miraculously survives the impact, Kayce lowers his weapon and denies him a quick escape, leaving him alive in the wreckage to live with the fact that he just killed his own child.

Marshals’ Showrunner Spoke Out About Killing Dolly Weaver

Showrunner Spencer Hudnut told TV Line, “We went back and forth about it a lot, trying to figure out the best trajectory for her. In some ways, this is a reminder that people who grow close to Kayce Dutton tend to have tragic outcomes. In the back of Kayce’s mind, he brings chaos to other people’s lives, even though it was really her own father.”

See who else is not returning for the remainder of season two.
