Taylor Swift has officially arrived at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards!

The 36-year-old superstar hit the red carpet on Sunday night (September 27) in Los Angeles, confirming that she made the trip to the VMAs after skipping husband Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs game against the Miami Dolphins earlier in the day.

Taylor was not seen at Hard Rock Stadium for the Chiefs’ first road game of the season.

For the occasion, Taylor wore a Tamara Ralph dress featuring a dramatic sheer back.

Her attendance had been a major question leading into the show, as fans waited to see whether she would appear at the VMAs or travel to Miami for Travis’ game.

Taylor posed for photos ahead of what is set to be a huge night for her at the awards show.

She enters the ceremony with 11 nominations, including Artist of the Year, Video of the Year and Best Direction. CBS and MTV also announced that Taylor will receive the inaugural MTV VMA Artist Director Honors during tonight’s show.

The new honor recognizes artists whose work behind the camera has helped advance music video and visual storytelling. With the recognition, Taylor becomes the most-awarded solo artist in VMAs history.

Earlier in the day, Taylor was not spotted at the Chiefs’ away game against the Miami Dolphins in Florida. She had attended Travis’ first two home games of the season but had not been seen at an away game this year.

Her VMAs arrival also comes ahead of another major Taylor moment during tonight’s broadcast: the world premiere of her new “Patient Zero” music video.

The video, which Taylor directed, stars Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell and is set to premiere during the ceremony.
