Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy are bringing a complicated sisterly dynamic to Peacock.

The streamer released the official trailer for The Good Daughter on Tuesday (October 6), offering a new look at the limited series based on Karin Slaughter‘s novel.

You won’t have to wait between episodes, either, as all six arrive on November 12.

Meghann plays Charlotte Quinn, while Rose stars as her sister Samantha. Twenty years after a violent night changed their family, both women are still living with the consequences.

Charlotte has become a lawyer, following her father into the profession. But when she witnesses another attack in their hometown, the resulting case brings her own family’s history back into focus. The story follows the sisters as they confront what happened to them and the secrets that remain.

THE GOOD DAUGHTER is a suspenseful thriller wrapped in a deeply emotional story about love, family and resilience. Sisters Charlotte (Meghann Fahy) and Samantha (Rose Byrne) Quinn have spent the last 20 years trying to piece together the lives that were fractured by a single night of violence. When another attack splinters the small town of Pikeville, Charlotte – now a lawyer like her father – is the first witness on the scene. As the case unfolds and twists through painful memories and buried secrets, what emerges is not just a story of survival, but of enduring ties between a father and his daughters, and the complex bond between sisters.

The author is also closely involved in the adaptation. Karin wrote every episode and serves as showrunner and executive producer. Steph Green directed all six episodes, and Rose is also an executive producer.
