Rebecca Gayheart Gets Support from Her Daughters at 'Jawbreaker: The Musical' Opening Night in L.A. | Just Jared

Rebecca Gayheart had her daughters by her side to celebrate her opening in Jawbreaker: The Musical!
The actress, 55, walked the carpet with daughters Billie, 16, and Georgia, 14, at the opening event on Friday (September 4) at the Hudson Theatre in Hollywood.
Rebecca is returning to the world of Jawbreaker after starring in the original film 27 years ago. While she played Julie Freeman in the film, she’s now taking on the role of Principal Sherwood for the musical version.

Rebecca Gayheart is “scared” about singing live
In an interview with Deadline, Rebecca said, “Well, I’m scared s–tless about singing. I’m just going to say that. I’m not a singer, so I have one solo and I’m really nervous about it. But at the same time, I am going to make it entertaining and fun. And if the singing isn’t amazing, it won’t matter, because the scene will be so much fun.”
Rebecca is taking on both Carol Kane‘s Ms. Sherwood role and Pam Grier‘s Detective Vera Cruz role.
“It’s tricky because they’re polar opposites, as you know. Pam Grier and Carol Kane, it doesn’t get more different,” she said of playing two roles. “So, what I’m trying to do is just really find it for myself, make it my own. I will tell you this Ms. Sherwood goes through a transformation throughout the play. And so, it’s nice. It’s not just Ms. Sherwood, she has her own story and she has her own transformation. Not unlike Fern.”
