Maggie Sajak was already in one of Jackson Olson’s Instagram posts before the two had even introduced themselves!

The Savannah Bananas player and Pat Sajak’s daughter have shared how a Dodgers playoff game in October 2025, brought them together and it all ties back to an Instagram Story.

Jackson shared a new video to social media on Sunday (September 6), and in it he cleared up how the pair first connected.

They had followed each other about a month earlier, and both posted from the game and Maggie wound up appearing in the background of one of Jackson‘s posts.

After discovering they were in the same place, they exchanged messages and waved to each other. Maggie then joined Jackson for a drink before they returned to their separate seats.

Their meeting also clears up a misconception about the Disney connection in their relationship.

“No, it was not at Disney, believe it or not,” Jackson said in the video, per Us Weekly. The pair went public in April with a photo in front of Cinderella Castle.

Since then, Jackson has also spoken about getting to know Maggie’s famous family. In a May interview, he told Us Weekly that he had met Pat, describing him as “a great guy.”

He also discussed the practical side of their romance. At the time, they were living on opposite sides of the country, and he said making the relationship work meant planning visits and setting aside time together. Maggie had attended his games, too, which initially gave him an extra reason to feel nervous about his performance.

TV viewers have reason to recognize both of them, as Maggie works as Wheel of Fortune’s social correspondent, and Jackson is preparing to compete on Dancing with the Stars.

His ballroom debut is approaching, with the 35th season of the ABC show starting its two-night premiere on Tuesday, September 15. It will air on ABC and Disney+, with episodes available the following day on Hulu.
