Presley Gerber Revealed Addiction Treatment He Underwent in One of His Last Social Media Posts, Receiving Praise from Cindy Crawford & Kaia Gerber | Just Jared

One of Presley Gerber‘s final Instagram posts highlighted a treatment he had undergone. If you did not see the devastating news, he passed away while in a rehab facility on September 20.

Back in March 2026, Presley posted about receiving treatment for substance use. He received an ibogaine flood dose while in Cancun, Mexico.

According to Stanford Medicine, ibogaine is “a plant-based psychoactive compound” that “led to improvements in depression, anxiety and functioning among veterans with traumatic brain injuries.” They also note it had “potential to treat opioid and cocaine addiction.”

Presley Gerber opened up about the ibogaine treatment earlier this year

In a post on Instagram, he wrote, “Pre Ibogaine Flood Dose – quiet moment before everything changed. i was absolutely terrified, and I knew I would be again if I ever had to face something like this (helps to not go into the situations you do that get ya there but that’s life sometimes.) (my mantras were love yourself and lis gotta be the last time for this reason. letting go of control didn’t come easy, but I trusted there was something bigger than me guiding it. I knew why i was there. I faced what I had been running from, and somewhere in all of it, i started finding my way back to myself …. We shall see…. Praying it’s the last time I have to come back. Next time I’d like to choose. And absolutely can’t forget the incredible caring kind and on their **** team. Helps a lot haha. And I made some dope ass friends there.”

Both his mom, Cindy Crawford, and sister, Kaia Gerber, commented on his post.

Cindy wrote, “You are a warrior! Walked thru the fire to find yourself! So proud!”

Kaia commented, “that’s my brother I am so damn proud.”

If you did not see, Presley revealed the prescription drugs he’d been taking less than a year before his passing.
