Ciara stormed the iHeartMusic Festival and proved she is still able to shut down stages while carrying her fifth child.
Fans may have thought Cici would scale back her performance to make it easier for herself, but she proved, once again, that mothers can do it all. From her signature Matrix move during “Like A Boy” to her low twerks for “Goodies,” she delivered her normal level of showmanship while creating another human. Incredible!
The mama-to-be (again) went through a medley of her hits, including “Level Up,” “Oh” as well as her new track “Yes.”
As previously reported, Ciara and Russell Wilson announced that they’re expecting their fifth child on Sept. 6, posting photos and videos of the visibly pregnant singer in the backyard of their home. There were corresponding shirts for each one of their children and then a small onesie to represent their latest addition.
The pair share Future, 12, Sienna, 9, Win, 6, and Amora, 2. Speculation about the arrival of “Cinco,” the nickname Wilson affectionately gave their potential fifth child long before conception, began circulating several months ago, when fans noticed Ciara opting for looks that kept her midsection covered. The couple has yet to reveal when their newest addition is due, but if fan theories are accurate, the Goodies singer could already be at least six months along.
Cici is also doing something special for other kids as she announced her collaboration with the popular children’s song company Kidz Bop to find the next child star. According to the official post announcing the competition, the winner will receive $20,000, an appearance in a Kidz Bop music video, the cover of Popstar Magazine, and a spread in Rolling Stone. The collaboration also supports the work of Russell and Ciara’s Why Not Foundation, which seeks to “empower young people to lead with confidence, embrace their individuality, and pursue their dreams through education, mentorship, and opportunity,” according to the foundation’s website.
One thing’s for sure: Ciara loves the kids, but she doesn’t let them slow her down either.
