The trailer for Other Mommy has arrived!
The film, from producer James Wan and director Rob Savage, follows “a terrifying trip into the darkening world of a young girl, Bela, who forms a relationship with a sinister entity in her home who looks uncannily like her own mother.”
Academy Award winner Jessica Chastain stars in a dual role as Bela’s mother and as “Other Mommy,” a manifestation of the entity.
The cast also features Jay Duplass, Arabella Olivia Clark, Dichen Lachman, Arian Moayed and Karen Allen.
The film is set to be released in theaters on October 9.
If you are not aware, the movie is actually based on the book Incidents Around the House by Bird Box‘s Josh Malerman.
Jessica has done a few horror films before, most notably, 2013’s Mama, and It: Chapter Two in 2019. Both of these films were from Andy Muschietti.
