House of the Dragon season 3, episode 7 was a huge episode for the dragons in the Targaryen House, with Sunfyre, Aegon’s dragon, coming back to life.

Nina Lopez-Corrado, who directed the latest episode, was asked about Sunfyre’s miraculous return after the mythical being was all-but-dead throughout this season.

How did Sunfyre come back to life?

“I think he truly did believe that Sunfyre was dead, and I think Sunfyre was very close to being dead. During the time period in which he was laying there, he did rejuvenate so that he was able to come back. I think a part of his healing process truly had to do with the fact that when Aegon was there, he was gonna die. So I think it helped him rejuvenate enough strength to come back and save him,” Nina told EW.

She added, “I think it 100 percent has to do with the Targaryen line and the connection they have with the dragons. It was a huge, huge reason in the return of Sunfyre.”

How many episodes are left in season 3 of House of the Dragon?

House of the Dragon only has one episode left, as the finale will be airing on Sunday (August 9).

The series has already been renewed for a fourth season, which will be its last.
