Gleb Savchenko Responds After Maura Higgins Says She Doesn’t Want Him as Her ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Partner

Gleb Savchenko is hitting back at Maura Higgins after the Love Island star said she wouldn’t want to be partnered with him on the upcoming 35th season of Dancing with the Stars.

The 42-year-old dance pro (who might not even be returning for the upcoming season) has told The Sun that he’s “never heard” of Maura and is “certainly not going to lose any sleep” over her comments.

“Until I was asked to comment on this story, I’d genuinely never heard of this girl, Maura, so I’m certainly not going to lose any sleep over the opinions of someone I’ve never met,” Gleb told the outlet in a statement. “It’s odd to publicly attack someone you’ve never even met, but if that’s how she wants to make headlines before the show starts, that’s her choice. I’ll stay focused and leave the unnecessary drama to everyone else.”

Maura Higgins previously said she wants to be partnered with “anyone except Gleb”

Back in May, the Traitors alum previously told E! News she would “be happy with anyone except Gleb,” and that’s because she’s “loyal” to his ex-girlfriend, Brooks Nader.

However, she also had other reasons for not being a fan of him.

Gleb publicly dissed Brooks while starring on YouTube’s Unwell Winter Games and said she was “the worst sex” of his life.

“I don’t really like the way he speaks about women,” Maura explained, adding that she doesn’t want to spend her time “with someone like that.”

Maura is good friends with Brooks, who had a high-profile on-and-off-again relationship with Gleb that started during their time partnered together in season 33 of Dancing with the Stars.

Referring to their relationship that started on the reality show, Maura also told E! News, “You’re not getting a showmance from me at all. It’s not happening. I’m single, I’m celibate and I’m bloody happy.”
