‘Elite Force’ Season 2: Has Netflix Renewed the French Action Thriller?

Netflix’s new French series Elite Force has already skyrocketed to the top of the streamer’s Top 10 charts and fans are clamoring for more.

The 6-episode action thriller, which premiered on Wednesday, July 22, was an instant hit for Netflix, but they have no yet formally canceled or renewed the series.

Star Tomer Sisley offers an Elite Force season 2 update

One of the series’ leads, Tomer Sisley, spoke with a French outlet (via The Direct) and revealed that the team is “working on” more episodes.

“We’re working on it, and I think it will obviously depend on the success of the first season. But if the audience responds well, yes, I think we all want it,” he revealed.

He said GIGN is ready to work with them on a potential second season

He also said “GIGN is ready to open the doors of the Satory barracks to us again if we film a second season.”

The barracks are part of a military base in Versailles, France and they serve as the real headquarters of France’s GIGN unit. Tomer‘s claim sounds like a very positive sign toward the future of the series if GIGN is indeed willing to work with them on another season.

All six episodes of the first season are now streaming on Netflix.
