CMA Awards 2026: Lainey Wilson Returns as Host for Third Consecutive Year

Lainey Wilson has been tapped to host the upcoming 2026 CMA Awards!

The 34-year-old country music star and 12-time CMA winner will return for her third consecutive year of hosting the annual Country Music Association awards ceremony.

The announcement of Lainey as host of the 60th CMA Awards show was made on Saturday (September 5) during ESPN’s College GameDay, which was on the road from Louisiana State University in her home state.

Country music’s biggest night will be airing live on ABC and Disney+ from Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 18th in Nashville, Tenn. The show will then stream on Hulu the next day.

The nominees and winners are “determined by over 7,000 professional voting members of the Country Music Association, representing every sector of the industry. This peer-voted recognition holds unique significance, celebrating the creativity and dedication of those whose contributions continue to shape the genre and inspire fans around the world.”

This year’s nominees will be announced next Thursday (September 10) on Good Morning America, followed by a livestream on CMA’s official YouTube channel.

Fans will have the chance to attend the show in person, with tickets going on sale on Friday, September 18th at CMAworld.com/tickets.

Just last year, Lainey picked up the top honor of Entertainer of the Year at the CMAs, as well as Female Vocalist of the Year, which she has won every year since 2022, and Album of the Year for Whirlwind.

Throughout the years, she has also won New Artist of the Year, Music Video of the Year, and Musical Event of the Year.
