Carson Daly is heading back to Times Square for a TRL reunion!

The 53-year-old television host has returned to the original Total Request Live studio to film a new reunion special, according to Entertainment Weekly.

However, the special will not air on MTV.

Instead, the reunion is being produced for Roku and is expected to premiere sometime in 2027. A specific release date has not yet been announced.

Carson is co-producing the special alongside original TRL creator Tony DiSanto.

Several stars from the show’s heyday were also spotted near the studio during production, including JoJo, Mya, Ashanti, JC Chasez and Nelly.

Their appearances in the finished special have not officially been confirmed yet.

TRL first premiered on MTV in 1998 and became one of the network’s signature shows, combining a daily music-video countdown with celebrity interviews and live appearances from some of the biggest stars of the late ’90s and 2000s.

Carson hosted the series until 2003. The original version eventually ended in 2008 before MTV briefly revived the franchise years later from 2017 to 2019.

The reunion will bring Carson back to the show’s famous Times Square home more than two decades after his original run as host.

Singers Nick Lachey (R) and Jessica Simpson, Lachey's wife, talk with host Carson Daly on MTV TRL at the MTV Times Square Studios August 19, 2003 in New York City.
