Bachelor’s Arie Luyendyk Jr. Confirms He Got Second Vasectomy After Having First One Reversed

Arie Luyendyk Jr. got a vasectomy again.
On Friday (August 14), the 44-year-old former race car driver and The Bachelor alum revealed that he got a vasectomy for the second time after previously having the first one reversed.
“Today’s a good day to get a vasectomy,” Arie first wrote along with the scissors and two tennis balls emojis on his Instagram Story over a selfie as he gives a thumbs up.

Then in a video, Arie – who has been married to wife Lauren Burnham since 2019 – said he’s going to the appointment “alone this time.”
“I’m going at it alone this time. The first time was a little traumatic, and Lauren being there felt weird, so. She was literally in the room,” he said. “The second time, when I got the reversal, I was out cold. Now this time, I’ve gone to a new doctor who does laughing gas, so I’m hoping this goes a little smoother.”
“But honestly, I can’t complain,” he continued. “This doesn’t hold a candle to giving birth.”

Later in the day, Arie shared another selfie while sitting in the car, wearing a cheeky T-shirt that had “All Juice No Seed” written across it over two lemons.
“Did it, got the shirt,” he wrote over the photo.
Arie first got a vasectomy in 2021, shortly after he and Lauren welcomed now 5-year-old twins Senna and Lux. Their first child, daughter Alessi, was born in 2019.
He had his vasectomy reversed in 2024 and they welcomed their fourth child, daughter Livvy Rowe, in September 2025.
