The trailer and first-look photos for the upcoming psychological thriller series American Hostage have just been released!

Jon Hamm leads the cast as Fred Heckman, along with Giovanni Ribisi as Tony Kirstis and Kristoffer Polaha as Dick Hall.

What is American Hostage about?

Based on the acclaimed first season of the scripted podcast of the same name, American Hostage is set in the 1970s that tells the harrowing true story of Fred Heckman, a beloved Indianapolis radio reporter who is thrust into the middle of a life-or-death crisis when hostage-taker Tony Kiritsis demands to be interviewed on his popular radio news program.

Who else stars in the high-stakes anthology series?

William Jackson Harper also stars as Ben Hairston, as well as Mireille Enos as Barbara Heckman, Jonathan Tucker as FBI Special Agent Cormac McNally, and Kat Cunning as Ibby Hall.

In addition to starring, Jon is also an executive producer.

When does American Hostage premiere?

American Hostage is slated to premiere on Sunday, September 20th, with the first two episodes. The remaining episodes will premiere weekly through Sunday, November 1st, on MGM+.
