Amanda Seyfried is mourning the loss of her beloved dog, Finn.

The 40-year-old The Testament of Ann Lee star uploaded a post of her and Finn to her Instagram on Friday night (July 24) with a caption that says, “This one’s forever and ever.”

Amanda‘s friends confirmed the loss of Finn in the comments, sending her support as she grieves his loss.

“Fly high, sweet pup,” wrote Olivia Munn.

“Big hug hug. They’re forever family,” Rachel Brosnahan commented.

Thomasin McKenzie and Rachel Zegler also left messages of support for Amanda.

Finn was 16 years old

In September 2025, Amanda celebrated the Australian shepherd’s 16th birthday. She’s posted about Finn many times over the years and has talked about how getting her rescue dog changed her life and helped her navigate Hollywood.

“I don’t know what my twenties would’ve looked like without Finn. I really don’t know,” she told People in 2024. “I don’t know how I would’ve navigated Hollywood. I mean, I stayed out of a lot of trouble, I think, because I had that guy to come home to.”

Amanda would also frequently take Finn to set with her, sharing photos of them together on the sets of shows like Long Bright River and more. They actually met while she was filming HBO series Big Love.
