Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski are ending their marriage.

The longtime couple have confirmed their breakup in a new statement, saying that they’ve been separated for “a while.”

Amanda, 40, and Thomas, 50 met in 2015 while working together on the off-Broadway play The Way We Get By and they played love interested in the movie The Last Word later that year. They were confirmed to be a real-life couple in early 2016 and then got married in secret in early 2017.

The couple confirmed their split in a joint statement provided to People.

“We have been separated for a while, and it’s proven to be the right move for us and our family unit. We’ve got each other forever—and it’s GOOD,” they said.

The couple welcomed their first child into the world in 2017, just days after they got married. Their daughter Nina is currently 9.

Amanda and Thomas are also parents to son Thomas Jr., who turns 6 this month.

The breakup news comes just weeks after Architectural Digest reported that Amanda is selling her Hollywood Hills home for $3.2 million. She bought the house in 2011 for $1.85 million.

The outlet noted that Amanda is continuing to live on the east coast.

Over the summer, Amanda suffered a very personal loss.
