Gavin Rossdale is reacting to Britney Spears‘ comments from years ago, in which she talked about being his neighbor and going swimming together.

The 60-year-old Bush frontman sat down for an interview with SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio and chatted about living next to Britney.

“There is an interview that Britney Spears did forever ago, where she just randomly said, ‘One time I went swimming with Gavin Rossdale.’ Do you remember swimming with Britney Spears?” co-host Evan Real asked.

Gavin responded, “Of course, how could you forget that? We were neighbors and so she came around when the kids were small and she was a real character and I got on really well with her.”

“She was lovely. She was amazing. She’s a great swimmer,” he added.

Britney‘s comments about Gavin came in 2015 when she spot to an Australian outlet.

“I would love to work with Gwen Stefani,” she said at the time. “I think she’s really cool. She was actually my next door neighbor in Los Angeles for a while. I swam with her husband so it was really cool.”

Gavin and Gwen were married from 2002 to 2016 and share three kids together.
