Dancing with the Stars pro dancer Val Chmerkovskiy was the subject of a lot of fan talk this past week after he shared a video of his new hair.
If you don’t know, Val got cornrows done, and shared a video that had the caption, “POV: It’s Mariah Carey night on DWTS.” If you are not aware, week four is Mariah Carey night on DWTS.
Fans quickly flooded the comments with top comments including, “And what about Mariah requires cornrows answer quickly,” “can we not…,” and “Val you know damn well this didn’t need to happen.”
In a video uploaded today (October 6), it appears as if Val has removed the hairstyle and gone back to his regular look.
In a new update, seemingly taken today en route to the DWTS show, he said, “What up my gorgeous friends? We on set.” He then panned to his hair to show that the cornrows were removed.
Top comments on this TikTok included fans saying things like, “Why does everyone have to cancel everything,” “I’m so confused what the issue was. I liked the braids should’ve kept them,” and “Val, as someone who’s watched the show the last 20 years, real ones know your heart.”
