Dirty Dancing: The Musical is heading to Broadway!

While the show has been around for around two decades, it has never played on Broadway. That’s finally going to change in 2027.

The current North American touring production of Dirty Dancing will be playing a limited engagement on Broadway next year to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the film’s 1987 release. The run will play from February 12, 2027 to September 5, 2027.

Set during an unforgettable summer in the Catskills in 1963, Dirty Dancing: The Musical follows Frances “Baby” Houseman, whose undeniable connection with charismatic dance instructor Johnny Castle leads to an unexpected discovery of love, passion, and independence. Pulsing with the iconic music from the original film, including such hits as “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life,” “Hungry Eyes,” “Do You Love Me?” and “She’s Like the Wind,” the musical captures the exhilaration of forbidden romance and the courage it takes to stand by one’s convictions, all told through electrifying dance and a finale that will lift you out of your seat.

Annalese Starzec and Blake Zelesnikar will be making their Broadway debuts as Frances “Baby” Houseman and Johnny Castle, respectively.

They will be joined in the cast by Olivia Cece as Penny Johnson; Bryan Fenkart as Jake Houseman; Dan Klimko as Neil Kellerman; Lily Kren as Lisa Houseman; Ashley LaLonde as Elizabeth; Gina Lamparella as Marjorie Houseman; Loren Lester as Max Kellerman; Ethan Peterson as Billy Kostecki; and Erick Pinnick as Tito Suarez.

Tickets for Dirty Dancing go on sale on Friday, October 9 at BroadwayDirect.com following a fan pre-sale that begins one day earlier.

The musical’s tour continues this fall across North America with stops in Detroit, West Palm Beach, Boston, Toronto, and other cities before arriving for an engagement on Broadway, after which the tour will resume its national run.
