Nicki Minaj stands by her decision to support President Donald Trump.

On Friday (September 18), the 43-year-old “Super Freaky Girl” rapper appeared on FOX News Channel’s The Ingraham Angle where she chatted about working with the Trump administration.

“I am honored to be able to have an opportunity to work with this administration and to work with President Trump,” Nicki said. “He has inspired many people, not just me. And he’s — he’s fun.”

“He’s not just smart, and, you know, he’s not just the president,” she continued. “But he’s also someone that I can relate to, someone that, you know, every time I see him, or every time I see him speaking to other people, he’s just himself. He’s very — he’s very grounded. It’s easy to connect with him. It’s easy to feel like he heard you, he understands you. And I just — I just love him. And I’m not going to ever make excuses for that.”

Host Laura Ingraham then asked Nicki if she had anything to “say to the critics of you for working with the sitting U.S. President.”

“Absolutely nothing,” she quickly responded. “I don’t know why I should.”

The rapper’s new comments come after it was announced that she will be judging a new reality competition series that the Trump administration is working on.

Nicki Minaj previously revealed when she began quietly supporting Donald Trump and explained what ultimately prompted her to speak out publicly.
