Shailene Woodley‘s stylist is calling out the negative comments surrounding the outfit that the actress wore to the Emmys this week.

The 34-year-old actress, who won an Emmy this month for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series on Paradise, made headlines on Sunday night because of the polarizing look that she wore to the main show.

The look was seen on the runway during Balenciaga‘s FW26 Couture show, though it was worn with a hooded robe for the runway show. While some are fans of the fresh-off-the-runway outfit, others were not feeling it. Read comments here.

Many of the comments about Shailene‘s outfit were aimed at her stylist. “Fire the stylist asap” and “her stylist hates her” are among the comments seen online.

Shailene is styled by Karla Welch, who also works with celebs like Olivia Wilde, Sarah Paulson, Ruth Negga, Renate Reinsve, and more.

“Love or hate something fine but it’s an opinion and it can even be a conversation but being super rude and mean and taking glee from it, well that says a lot more about the mouths it’s coming from,” Karla wrote on Threads on Tuesday.

Shailene Woodley changed for the after party

After the Emmys, Shailene went to the Walt Disney Company’s Emmy Awards Celebration at Vibiana.

Shailene took off the gloves and put a t-shirt over the dress. She wore a t-shirt promoting musician Laurie Anderson‘s 1986 concert film Home of the Brave.
