Hayden Panettiere’s Rep Addresses Conflicting Reports About Death Investigation, Toxicology Results Still Pending

Hayden Panettiere‘s rep is speaking out amid conflicting reports surrounding the investigation into her passing.

The Nashville and Heroes actress passed away on August 16 at the age of 36, and authorities have not yet announced an official cause of death.

Earlier this week, it was reported that investigators are looking into whether Hayden unknowingly took an oxycodone pill that was laced with fentanyl. The following day, a new report claimed that the DEA is focusing on drug-related messages Hayden allegedly exchanged with a longtime dealer.

Now, Hayden‘s rep is stressing that the investigation remains ongoing and pushing back on some of the information that has been circulating publicly.

“As reported yesterday by the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, Hayden‘s death remains under investigation pending the completion of toxicology results, despite reports from some outlets stating otherwise,” her rep said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly.

“Recent reports attributed to unnamed sources are unverified hearsay and have [contributed] to conflicting information that continues to circulate,” the statement continued.

“While we are all eager to find closure and better understand the circumstances surrounding her passing, we must remain patient and allow the investigative process to unfold. The answers we are all seeking will come,” the rep concluded.

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office recently pushed back on reports about Hayden‘s potential cause of death, saying on September 14 that it had not yet released any findings.
