Ben Affleck Supports Brother Casey at ‘Company’ Venice Premiere; New Movie Stars Casey’s Two Sons

Ben Affleck took a trip to Venice to support his younger brother Casey Affleck!

The brothers appeared together on the red carpet at the premiere of Company during the 2026 Venice Film Festival on Tuesday night (September 8) in Venice, Italy.

Casey wrote and directed the new movie, which stars his two sons Indiana Affleck and Atticus Affleck, as well as his longtime girlfriend Caylee Cowan. Also appearing in the film are Nick Nolte, Ben Mendelsohn, Adelaide Clemens, Scoot McNairy, and Emily Alyn Lind.

The appearance comes hours after Casey revealed that their father passed away recently.

Ben posed for a photo on the red carpet with his 22-year-old nephew Indiana. His younger brother Atticus, 18, was not present for the premiere.

Casey says that directing his sons was one of his “best professional experiences” yet.

“I think they grew up around it and had some interest in it and a sort of innate understanding of what it was,” Casey said at a press conference (via People). “Like I did, my dad worked in the theater for many years. And so it’s passed down, I suppose, which is a really nice thing. And they were willing to be a part of this.”

“I was sitting around the house doing read-throughs of this script over and over, and I would have my two kids read the younger and older teens, and they were fantastic,” he added. “I got to the point where I was there in pre-production and I had a cast and film and they were willing to show up and do it.”

“And I guess the younger one [son Atticus] had a spring break from high school of a week or so, and that was kind of all we needed them for,” Casey continued. “And Indiana, the older one, he showed up and he played this part and stayed every single day and worked in the other departments and shoveled snow and carried light stands around and never complained, or rarely complained.”

Casey added, “They were amazing, and it made it the best professional experience of my life by far because I got to work every day with my kids and hang around. I would do it over and over again if I could.”

Casey, 51, and Caylee, 28, have been together since early 2021.

Emily, Adelaide, Nick, and Scoot all stepped out to represent the movie as well.

Scoot was joined at the event by his girlfriend, Sosie Bacon.

What is Company about?

On a winter night in 1975, a mysterious woman named Evelyn arrives uninvited at a holiday gathering and tells the story of Tom, an ageing hermit who rescues a stranded actress during a Colorado blizzard in 1953. To pass the night, the actress recounts an older tale of a farming couple who take in a troubled young drifter as a series of grisly murders spreads fear across the frontier. As the stories intertwine across generations, Company becomes a meditation on grief, vengeance, forgiveness and the quiet acts of compassion that can heal even the deepest wounds.
