KATSEYE will no longer be performing at the Daisy Chain Fields festival this weekend due to an injury sustained by group member Megan Skiendiel.

The festival is organized by Olivia Rodrigo and is taking place on Saturday (August 29) in Irvine, California. The event is being held to advance and advocate for women and girls, with net proceeds supporting 10 important organizations.

KATSEYE was scheduled for an early afternoon slot on the Dandelion stage, which is now being filled by Santigold.

The group updated fans with a message posted to social media.

“We’re so incredibly sorry to share that we are unable to perform at Daisy Chain Fields this Saturday,” they wrote. “Megan sprained her ankle yesterday during tour rehearsal and after being evaluated by doctors, she has been advised to stay off it and allow it to properly heal so we can be ready for our upcoming tour.”

The message continued, “We know how much our fans were looking forward to seeing us, and it breaks our hearts to disappoint anyone who made plans to be there. We were especially excited for Daisy Chain Fields because it’s not just about music, but the greater mission of joy and community. We’re sending all our love to Olivia and to all of the incredible artists, non-profit organizations and volunteers who have given their time to make this day so special. It’s going to be such an amazing day, and we can’t wait to see everyone out on tour.”

Olivia, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Garbage, The Breeders, and more will be performing at the all-day festival.

KATSEYE, which started as a six-women group, is currently down to four members following the hiatus of Manon Bannerman and the temporary exit of Sophia Laforteza.
