Layla Taylor has revealed the identity of her new girlfriend, after months of soft-launching their relationship on social media.
The 25-year-old The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star first came out as bisexual in June during an appearance on Jay Shetty‘s On Purpose podcast.
“I’m gay and I’m bi and date women and men,” she said.
On Tuesday (October 6), Layla and her new girlfriend made their red carpet debut at the 2026 Page Six Virtual Reali-Tea Awards.

Layla and Kelsie Chessler went red carpet official while attending the awards show this week, marking the first time the reality star has revealed the identity of her girlfriend.
On the carpet, they dished on how they met.
“She slid in my DMs on TikTok,” Layla revealed to Page Six, which Kelsie also previously shared in a July TikTok, writing, “When I slid my girlfriends DM’s just hoping she was into girls,” set to a sound clip of Beyonce talking about writing “Partition.”
They also revealed that Kelsie has already met Layla‘s children, who she shares with ex-husband Clayton Wessell.
Who is Kelsie Chessler?
According to her Instagram bio, Kelsie is a barber and owns the Main Barber shop in Golden, Colo., which opened in June 2025.
Her bio also shows that she is originally from Kentucky, but later moved to Colorado.
According to Cosmopolitan, Kelsie was also previously married, having also split up earlier this year.
If you recall, Layla and her boyfriend, Mason McWhorter, broke up earlier this year, which was documented on season five of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Though Kelsie‘s Instagram is set to private, she does have a public TikTok account, where she was nearly 50k followers.
What Layla Taylor previously said about her girlfriend
During Layla‘s appearance on Jay Shetty‘s podcast in June, she gushed about how Kelsie let her go at her own pace with their new relationship as being with a woman was still new for her.
“She’s just been very understanding and letting me take this at my own pace because it is just still foreign to me and it is so new. [It’s the] level of understanding and just being there for me,” she said.
