The latest season of Below Deck Mediterranean came to an end this week, and we have a new update on two of the season’s stars.

Bravo’s Below Deck franchise spinoff aired its season 11 finale on Monday (October 5), with chef Joy Lafaucheur and former deckhand Luke Brumer reuniting during the cast outing following the final charter.

Earlier in the season, the two were caught up in a love triangle with stew Gen Lillie, which lead to Joy washing her hands of being involved with Luke.

However, after he quit, the two stayed in touch throughout the season, with him even sending flowers to the boat for her at one point. He then coordinated with fellow deckhand Joe Bradley to orchestrate a surprise visit during the last crew outing to reunite with Joy.

After his surprise appearance at the club caused Gen to throw a glass of wine on him and causing some tension, Luke left early, but still talked with Joy until she left the yacht.

So, where do things stand with Joy and Luke now?

Chef Joy reveals if she’s still seeing or talking to Luke Brumer

In her final confessional of the season, Joy addressed a potential future with Luke.

“Walking out of this boat, obviously, I’m going to find Luke,” she said. “Usually, I don’t give a guy a second chance. So, we will see how things go. I don’t want to give him too much credit. I know what he’s capable of, okay?”

Ahead of the season finale airing, Joy took to the comments of a recent Instagram post to set the record straight on where things stand between them.

“For everyone still asking about Luke… I gave that man credit for flowers and a few text messages like he had delivered the moon,” she wrote. “Looking back, they were breadcrumbs… and apparently I was the pigeon. At least the pigeon eventually flew away. NEXT COURSE, PLEASE.”

Is chef Joy dating Cooper Dawson?

In a turn of events, Joy has sparked rumors with another season 11 star, deckhand Cooper Dawson.

While the latest season just wrapped up airing, the show has already been in production on season 12, and though the full cast has not officially been revealed, it appears as though Joy and Cooper are returning.

The next season will be set in Greece, and over the summer, the two were reportedly spotted filming together on what seemed like a one-on-one date. They were also seen holding hands!

A Reddit user also uploaded a screenshot of one of her Instagram stories, featuring a photo of the street art, with her feet and a man posing close behind her as his shoes are also seen, leading fans to speculate it was her and Cooper.

Their season 11 co-star Kayley Smith was asked about the rumors, and she told Page Six‘s Virtual Reali-Tea, “No comment. I’m friends with both. I love both. We’ll wait and see.”

On an August episode of Below Deck franchise star Daisy Kelliher‘s podcast Yacht Mess, Cooper also addressed having a connection with Joy and liking older women.
