Toy Story 5 is officially in the billionaires club.

The fifth installment in the Toy Story franchise just pushed past the $1 billion mark at the global box office as of this weekend, per Deadline.

After bringing in an additional $34.7 million from global markets over the weekend, the film has now brought in over $1.02 billion, becoming the third movie to make a billion dollars this year. It’s now the highest-grossing movie of 2026, and Disney’s first movie to hit the billion mark.

The only movies that have crossed the billion-dollar mark globally in 2026 are The Super Mario Galaxy Movie ($1.011 billion), Michael ($1.010 billion), and now Toy Story 5.

Toy Story 5 is now the sixth highest-grossing Pixar movie of all-time after Inside Out 2 ($1.69B), Incredibles 2 ($1.24B), Toy Story 4 ($1.07B), Toy Story 3 ($1.06B), and Finding Dory ($1.029B), and No. 14 on the all-time animated worldwide list, Deadline also reports.

In the fifth movie, Woody (voice of Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (voice of Tim Allen), Jessie (voice of Joan Cusack) and the rest of the gang’s jobs are challenged when they come face-to-face with Lilypad (voice of Greta Lee), a brand-new tablet device that arrives with her own disruptive ideas about what is best for their kid, Bonnie.
