Rihanna made it no secret that she wanted a daughter after giving birth to sons RZA and Riot, and a year after the birth of she and A$AP Rocky’s baby girl, Rocki Irish, she’s showing us exactly what kind of “girl mom” she is.
In a cute carousel of personal memories, the Bajan beauty showed her fans a series of moments she’s already made with her baby girl. From videos of Rocki donning a wig to photos of her recreating her mother’s iconic Met Gala Guo Pei gown as a Halloween costume, Rihanna’s fun approach to parenting is on full display. One of the more adorable moments came in a video clip where Rocki is playing with a Louis Vuitton purse and bursts into tears when it’s taken away by her rockstar mother. Already a little fashion killa!
Rocki Irish came into the world on Sept. 13, joining her brothers in one of music’s most famous families. She’s already made her first magazine cover appearance, accompanying her mother on The Pop Issue of W Magazine, dressed in Dior. It’s unclear whether she’ll continue to be their youngest child as Rihanna has mentioned the desire for five children, in total. But, for now, she is their only girl.
Though she may be the youngest, her father A$AP says she’s already running things in their household. During a sit-down on The Jason Lee Show, the Harlem-born rapper and fashion entrepreneur opened up about how Rocki keeps everyone in check.
“I’m really sensitive with my kids and really gentle with them,” he said, “But with her, I was ultra gentle. She turned out being the toughest out of all them. More than her brothers. She’ll like grab your nose and squeeze it, she takes my braids and yanks it. I’ll be like ‘ damn, girl, why you beating up daddy for? But, it’s easy, Jason, I’m a present dad. I don’t favoritize any of them. They all have such different personalities that you love each of them for what it’s worth, you know?”
When it comes to Rocki, everyone seems to be in line with letting her be the star of the show. In an exclusive behind the scenes of their W shoot, Rihanna referred to their youngest as a fashion killa saying,
“She sort of outshined me, this is the last shoot we’ll ever do together. It’s giving couture baby.”
