In behind-the-scenes footage from the video, Dakota can be heard insisting, “I’m telling you, Brendan Fraser was in Tarzan!”

The exchange appears during the tense dinner-table sequence featured in the original “Patient Zero” music video.

What Else Is in Taylor Swift’s “Patient Zero” Expanded Video?

The new eight-minute featurette also gives fans a closer look at Taylor directing the star-studded visual and explaining how she developed its dark concept.

“I’ve been wanting to make this video my entire life,” she says at the beginning of the featurette.

Taylor describes the concept as combining elements of a ghost story and true crime, with viewers initially left unsure about what is happening between the central couple before the full story becomes clear.

The expanded video also shows Taylor reacting to Dakota successfully falling while holding a glass of wine without spilling it.

“Oh my gosh, she didn’t spill it again, and it was perfect,” Taylor says.

Where Can You Watch the “Patient Zero” Expanded Video?

For now, the eight-minute “Patient Zero (Expanded Video)” is exclusive to Apple Music.

It was released on Saturday (October 3) as part of Taylor‘s new Patient Zero (Video Bundle).

The original “Patient Zero” music video is available more widely, including on YouTube after its staggered release following the 2026 MTV VMAs.

The cinematic visual stars Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell, with Cara Delevingne making a surprise appearance.

“Patient Zero” appears on the expanded edition of Taylor‘s album The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore.
