Sass Jordan’s Music Career
Born in Birmingham, England and raised in Montreal, Sass broke through with her debut album Tell Somebody in the late 1980s.
She won the Juno Award for Most Promising Female Vocalist of the Year in 1989, and later earned additional nominations for Female Vocalist of the Year.
Her career included songs such as “Make You a Believer,” “High Road Easy,” “You Don’t Have to Remind Me” and “So Hard.”
Her 1992 album Racine became one of her best-known releases, and Billboard later recognized her as its Top Female Rock Artist of 1992.
Sass Jordan Also Worked With Taylor Hawkins
Before Taylor Hawkins became the drummer for Foo Fighters, he toured with Sass Jordan in the early 1990s.
Taylor later credited Sass with helping introduce him to life in a professional rock band, and the two reunited onstage years later when she joined Foo Fighters during a Toronto concert.
Our thoughts are with Sass Jordan‘s loved ones during this difficult time. We have sadly lost many stars in 2026.
