Sophia Bush, Jerry O'Connell & Violet McGraw Star in Trailer for Tubi's New Comedy 'Summer's Last Resort' - Just Jared - Celebrity News and Gossip

Tubi is getting ready to kick off the Fourth of July weekend with a brand-new original movie!

The streamer has released the official trailer and details for Summer’s Last Resort, a comedy starring Sophia Bush, Jerry O’Connell, and Violet McGraw. The film is set to premiere exclusively on Tubi on Friday, July 3, 2026.

Summer’s Last Resort centers on a tightly wound teenager whose vacation plans are turned upside down when she finds herself spending time with her mom’s overly eager boyfriend.

Here’s the official synopsis shared by Tubi.

A high-strung teen’s vacation takes a turn when she’s trapped with her free-spirited mom’s try-hard boyfriend, who also happens to be her vice principal. Determined to end the romance, she hatches a secret breakup plan that spirals into a week of sunburns, sabotage and unexpected feelings. 

In addition to Sophia, Jerry, and Violet, the cast also includes Tim Rozon and Clara Alexandrova.

The project comes from writer Emily Andras, known for her work on Wynonna Earp and Lost Girl, while Melanie Scrofano directs. Scrofano is also known to fans for her work both in front of and behind on the camera on Wynonna Earp, as well as Heartland.

Summer’s Last Resort was produced by Blue Ice Pictures, with Andras and Lance Samuels serving as executive producers.
