Sia Sells Half of Her Music Catalog for Nearly $200 Million - But She May Have to Pay Her Ex-Husband | Just Jared

Sia is getting a huge paycheck after selling off half of her music!

The 50-year-old “Elastic Heart” singer has reportedly sold half of her stake in her music catalogue to investment company Pophouse for $180 million, according to TMZ.

However, her ex-husband Dan Bernard is likely also getting a chunk of that money thanks to their divorce.

Per documents obtained by TMZ, Sia will get $165 million for the songs she wrote before getting married to Dan, including “Cheap Thrills,” “Chandelier,” and more, and he has reportedly agreed to waive any rights to that money if she gives him $1 million.

Then, there’s the extra $15 million for the songs she wrote after they got married. That money will be put aside and held in escrow, which could eventually be fought over between the exes if they can’t come to an agreement.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that Sia has to pay Dan $42,500 a month for child support, with the former couple splitting custody of their son following a contentious custody battle.

Sia and Dan were only married from 2023 to 2025, before she filed for divorce March 2025, nearly a year after quietly welcoming their son, Somersault Wonder Bernard.
