Rashida Jones and Hailee Steinfeld are starring in a new movie together!

It was announced on Tuesday (April 16) at 2026 CinemaCon that the two actresses will voice a mother and daughter duo in the upcoming Walt Disney Animation Studios film Hexed.

The new animated coming-of-age movie centers on “an impulsive and unconventional teenage girl named Billie (Steinfeld) discovers secret magical abilities which, once unleashed, hurtle her into a spectacle-filled journey out of suburbia and into a vast witch realm called Hexe. Forced to team up with her cautious mother, Alice (Jones), they uncover family mysteries that could change the world of witches forever.”

Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand are directing, along with co-director Josie Trinidad.

Hexed is slated to release in theatres on November 25th.

This will mark Hailee‘s first project since she became a mom. The actress gave birth to her first child, a baby girl, with football star husband Josh Allen she announced earlier this month via her online newsletter Beau Society.

Hailee is also slated to reprise another voice role, Gwen Stacy/Spider-Gwen, in the upcoming Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse film, which is also scheduled to be released in 2027.
