The 29-year-old singer dropped the new song on Thursday (September 10), along with a self-directed music video.
“crank 2” arrives amid Slayyyter‘s sold-out WOR$T GIRL IN THE WORLD TOUR and follows her recent single “brand new chanel$,” which became her first song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.
The new track is a sequel to “CRANK,” which appeared on her 2026 album WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA. Slayyyter previously clarified to fans that “crank 2” isn’t a remix of the original song, but said that it “feels in line” with it.

What Is Slayyyter’s “crank 2” About?
The song finds Slayyyter taking aim at an unfaithful man while boasting about her own success and refusing to let the betrayal bring her down.
According to a press release, “crank 2” “channels betrayal into an unapologetic statement of power.”
Throughout the track, Slayyyter takes aim at an unfaithful ex-boyfriend while contrasting his behavior with her own rising career. The chorus centers on her making money and rising in popularity, while suggesting that he’s headed in the opposite direction.
The second verse makes the betrayal especially explicit, with Slayyyter referencing a text discovery: “Saw the text, you’re f–ing around on me.“
Fans actually heard “crank 2” before its official release. Slayyyter first teased the song back in May and later debuted it live during her WOR$T GIRL IN THE WORLD TOUR in July. It quickly became a standout moment in the show before receiving its official release in September.
The music video, which Slayyyter directed herself, features the singer performing choreography alongside a group of dancers as a twister looms in the background.
