Is the Pumpkin regatta a real event?
Yes! Oregon has hosted an annual West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta since 2004, featuring people from around the country coming together to compete in a series of races all centered around the pumpkin boats. Guests and competitors will often get into the spirit of the season and dress in costume, too!

Who stars in Pumpkin Regatta Romance?
Emmy-winning actress Mishael Morgan stars in the new Hallmark movie as Nadine, the daughter of a boat shop owner. She’s best known for her roles as Hilary Curits and Amanda Sinclare on the soap opera The Young and the Restless, becoming the first Black woman to win a Daytime Emmy in the Lead Actress category.
Some of her other credits include Chicago Med, Supernatural, and Most Dangerous Game. She’s also been in other Hallmark movies like Hearts Around the Table and Christmas with a Kiss.
Corey Sevier is a Canadian actor who stars as pumpkin farmer Ethan. He’s known for the 1990s series Lassie and Little Men, along with starring in North Shore and Black Sash. Some of his guest-starring roles include Supernatural, Smallville, Psych, CSI Miami, and Murdoch Mysteries.
Corey has also starred in many Hallmark Channel projects like Debbie Macombier’s Cedar Cove, Northern Lights of Christmas, Road Trip Romance, Pumpkin Everything, and more.
The film also stars Jenny Raven, Sharron Matthews, Eugene Clark, Jake Epstein, Jordan Hayes, Catherine McGregor, and Paula Boudreau.

The film premieres on Saturday, September 26 at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel. It will begin streaming on Sunday, September 27 on Hallmark+.

Where was Pumpkin Regatta Romance filmed?
The Hallmark movie was reportedly filmed in Ontario, Canada, with Toronto serving as the base for the production. A real marina was used for the regatta, with experienced boaters assisting in the filming process, with FilmiFeed reporting that the leads really did get out on the water with practical pumpkin boats constructed for filming.
