Olivia Colman and Alexander Skarsgard are hitting the red carpet at the 2026 Zurich Film Festival!

The 52-year-old Oscar-winning actress and the 50-year-old Emmy-winning actor hit the green carpet together for the premiere of their new romantic fantasy comedy movie Wicker on Monday night (September 28) in Zurich, Switzerland.

For the event, Olivia showed off her longest hair in years while wearing a white outfit while Alexander sported a black suit over a white T-shirt.

What is Wicker about?

Here’s the official synopsis for the Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson-directed film:

An audacious comedic fable about sex, marriage, and the absurdities of social convention, WICKER tells the wholly original love story of an ostracized fisherwoman (Olivia Colman) who commissions a husband to be made by the local basketmaker (Peter Dinklage). When her wicker husband (Skarsgård) proves more spectacular than she ever imagined, his soulful spirit and unique prowess awaken something inside her, setting off a wave of jealousy, fascination, and upheaval that threatens the very fabric of village life.

Alexander talks wearing wicker prosthetics for the movie

In a statement to EW, Alexander poked some fun at wearing prosthetics made of wicker while filming the movie.

“Most male actors dream of playing Hamlet at some point in their career. I never did,” he joked. “My dream was always to have nipples made out of wicker. Thanks to our wonderful directors, Eleanor and Alex, and the brilliant artists at Weta in New Zealand, my dream has finally come true.”

In her own statement, Olivia called the movie “one of the best and most original scripts I’d read in a long time.”

“Alex is funny, intelligent, and beautiful anyway — in the wicker costume, he’s breathtaking,” she continued. “Everything is exaggerated; he’s a work of art. Alex fills the Wicker Husband with a beautiful soul.”
