Nina Dobrev is sparking dating rumors with a hunky model, though some are saying they could just be friends.

The 37-year-old actress was spotted on a stroll around New York City with model Dougie Joseph this week, as seen in a fan photo submitted to DeuxMoi.

The fan said that the “mystery man” was “respectfully, the hottest man I’ve ever seen… perf match.”

DeuxMoi later identified the man as Dougie, who Nina follows on Instagram. Some fans are saying that they’re just friends, but others are wondering if there’s more going on.

Fans are wondering if Dougie teased a relationship with Nina when he posted to Instagram back in April, “Big week of Bulgarians.” While he did include a video of himself doing Bulgarian squats at the gym, fans can’t help but connect Nina‘s Bulgarian background to the post.

In addition to being a model, Dougie is the co-founder of Bondi Skin Co., a men’s skincare brand.

Nina has been single since September 2025, when she split from fiance Shaun White after five years together.

Nina was soon after linked to a very famous actor, but she laughed off the rumors and confirmed they are just friends.
