The Wild Card Series kicked off on Tuesday (September 29), with eight teams competing across four best-of-three series for a spot in the Division Series.

There are several big matchups in the opening round, including another postseason showdown between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees, who are facing off at Yankee Stadium.

For those hoping to tune in, every game of the Wild Card round is available to stream on Peacock, while select games are also airing on NBC and NBCSN.

How to Watch the 2026 MLB Wild Card Series

All games in the Wild Card Series are available to stream with Peacock Premium or Premium Plus.

Games airing on NBC are also streaming on Peacock, while the remaining matchups are available on Peacock and NBCSN.

NBCSN is currently available through YouTube TV, Fubo and Xfinity. Fans without one of those providers can stream the games on Peacock.

Thursday, October 1 – Game 3, If Necessary

Any series that is tied 1-1 after Game 2 will move on to a deciding Game 3.

MLB’s initial schedule lists the potential games as:

Philadelphia Phillies at Atlanta Braves – 2 p.m. ET

Chicago White Sox at Houston Astros – 5 p.m. ET

Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees – 8 p.m. ET

Chicago Cubs at San Diego Padres – 10 p.m. ET

However, the Thursday schedule will be adjusted depending on how many Game 3s are necessary. If only one series requires a deciding game, for example, that game will be played at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.

How Does the MLB Wild Card Series Work?

Each Wild Card Series is a best-of-three matchup, with all three potential games hosted by the higher-seeded team, per NBC Sports.

The winners of the four series will advance to the Division Series as the road to the 2026 World Series continues.
