Brittany Boltinhouse is no longer Miss North Carolina USA.

The 27-year-old beauty pageant contestant was stripped of her crown a month after the crowning due to alleged racist past social media posts that began recirculating online.

Miss USA CEO Thom Brodeur issued a statement on Wednesday (August 5).

Today, Brittany Boltinhouse‘s reign as Miss North Carolina USA 2026 came to an end. The decision was made together with her, her state directors, and in consultation with the Miss USA Organization.

Brittany will soon issue her own statement, and that sequencing was deliberate — she should be the one to speak to this in her own voice. We wanted to honor that.

I want to speak to the issue plainly, because our titleholders, our state directors, fans, and every young woman watching deserves to hear where I stand.

The Miss USA Organization does not tolerate racism, homophobia, transphobia, nor language that strips any person of their dignity — whoever they are. That is not a policy written for a press release. It is the floor of what it means to represent this brand.

A title here isn’t a trinket. It is a position of trust, extended by an organization and accepted by a woman who agrees to carry a standard in public.

When that standard is broken, the title cannot continue as though nothing happened.

She allegedly wrote posts under the alias Sosa the Stallion from 2017 to 2019, and repeatedly used the n-word according to alleged screenshots obtained by the NC Beat. Her political views also came under fire, especially from the Latin community, as she seemingly is also a Donald Trump supporter.

Brittany was crowned Miss North Carolina USA 2026 on June 28.

Myla Hadley will take the title of Miss North Carolina USA 2026 instead.

The 2026 Miss USA final competition is scheduled for Thursday, August 27 at 8 p.m. ET, broadcasting live on The CW from the Ziff Ballet Opera House at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, Fla.

Last year, Miss USA 2024 bowed out of the 2025 pageant at the last moment.
