Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson, Joseph Quinn and Barry Keoghan are bringing Beatlemania back to Liverpool!
The four actors were spotted in costume as The Beatles while filming director Sam Mendes‘ upcoming four-film cinematic event on Sunday (September 20) in Liverpool, England.
Paul, Harris, Joseph and Barry appeared together on the balcony of Liverpool Town Hall while recreating an iconic moment from the band’s history.
The Beatles Actors Recreated the Band’s 1964 Liverpool Homecoming
The scene recreates The Beatles‘ famous homecoming to Liverpool on July 10, 1964.
The real John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr returned to their hometown at the height of Beatlemania that day, with huge crowds lining the streets to welcome them.
As part of the celebrations, the four musicians attended a civic reception at Liverpool Town Hall and appeared together on the building’s balcony in front of the crowds.
Later that day, the band attended the northern premiere of their movie A Hard Day’s Night at the Odeon Cinema.
In the new movies, Paul Mescal is portraying Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson is playing John Lennon, Joseph Quinn is taking on the role of George Harrison and Barry Keoghan is portraying Ringo Starr.
The new photos show all four stars sporting matching suits and the band’s famous early-era hairstyles while recreating the balcony appearance.
What Do We Know About the Four Beatles Movies?
Sam Mendes is directing four separate movies, with each film telling the story of The Beatles from the perspective of a different member of the band.
The project marks the first time The Beatles and Apple have granted full life-story and music rights for scripted movies about the band.
The four movies are currently scheduled to hit theaters in April 2028.
