Milo Yiannopoulos Sent Back to UK After Being Detained by ICE in Louisiana

Milo Yiannopoulos is back in his home country after being detained by ICE.

On Saturday (August 29), TMZ reported that the 41-year-old far-right political commentator was sent back to the United Kingdom after being apprehended by agents earlier in the week in Louisiana.

Federal law enforcement sources told the outlet that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents removed Milo from a holding facility in the Pelican state and transported him to an airport in another state so he could take a flight to the UK.

ICE got confirmation from UK authorities that Milo is back on his home turf after he stepped off the plane. A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security later confirmed that the conservative journalist was deported “back to his home country.”

On Thursday night (August 27), Milo was arrested by ICE agents when he walked off of a plane at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and transferred to a holding facility in Alexandria, Louisiana for undocumented detainees awaiting deportation.

A federal judge issued Milo a final removal order on July 22, 2026 after Milo remained in the U.S. beyond his authorized stay. He legally entered the States in 2019.

Milo is known for his ties with Kanye West. The controversial journalist served as the 49-year-old rapper’s Chief of Staff for two years when Kanye ran for President in 2022. The two parted ways professionally in 2024.
